OK, for all you football enthusiasts, I just want to go on record now with my prediction, in the tradition of the Renee Schwartz School of Conspiracy Management.
New Orleans will at least make it to the Superbowl. The guys that did such a good job down there in August, 2005 will attend the game, and interpret the team's miraculous achievement as evidence of the restoration of New Orleans.
My husband agrees to the extent that, should they make the Superbowl, it will be used as a "feel-good" story by the administration. He believes however,that it would be unlikely that the NFL and US goverment would collaborate, as the NFL and Reggie Bush have too much integrity. I think that, if this came off and were to be discovered,the backlash among the American people would be far greater than the reaction to the 2000 election debacle.
